前言：2019年8月受一个品牌方的委托，到贵州黔东南的侗寨，拍摄一部关于侗族手织布和植物染的短片，当时接待我们的人就是杨怡，她是制作侗布的，第一次接触到传统侗布的制作工艺，从整个的制作工艺过程到当地的一切都非常令我着迷，侗寨有着非常传统而古朴的保留与坚守，从他们的信仰到日常生活的琐碎，好像都在遵循着某种和谐，似乎当人们将自己视为自然中的一部分时，美，就产生了，简单而神奇，与时代无关，更不必非要牵扯到某个民族的标签，一种接近于正弦波的生态，象一个巨大的问号冲击着当下。这让我产生了一个想法，用声音记录的方式去表达这种回归之美。2023年，经过了三年的疫情，这个想法终于在冲动下得以实现，我将这张唱片定性为采风和田野录音，而不是侗族歌曲，也并不打算把在当地收录的所有声音当成采样来使用，因为吸引我去做这张唱片的主要原因，是场景游走，通过还原自然界万物的震动频率，去构建一种亦虚亦实的场景游走，古典而未来。出现在这张唱片里的所有声音；虫子，鸭子，猪，河水，柴火，人…..都以平等的方式被对待，演唱者也都是普通村民，非专业歌手。

Foreword: In August 2019, commissioned by a brand, we went to the Dong villages in Qiandongnan, Guizhou, to shoot a short film about the hand-woven cloth and plant dyeing crafts of Dong people. (Translation note: Dong, an ethnic minority of China found in southeastern Guizhou province and in neighboring Zhuang Autonomous Region of Guangxi and Hunan province.) The person who received us at that time was Yang Yi, who makes Dong cloth. It was the first time that I came into contact with the crafts of traditional Dong cloth, and I was very fascinated by the whole process of production to everything in the local area. The Dong villages have a very traditional, simple and unsophisticated preservation and perseverance. From their beliefs to the minutiae of their daily life, it seems that they are following some kind of harmony, and it seems that when people regard themselves as part of nature, beauty arises, simply and magically, having nothing to do with the times, nor the labeling of a certain ethnic group. A kind of ecology similar to the sinusoidal wave, a huge question mark impacting the present. An idea struck me: to express the beauty of such a return in the form of sound recordings. In 2023, after three years of pandemics, this idea was finally realized under an impulse. I categorize this record as a collection of sounds, and a field recording, rather than collecting Dong songs, and I didn’t intend to use all the sounds recorded locally as samples, because the main reason that attracted me to make this record was a travel through scenes – by restoring the vibration frequency of everything in nature, a travel through scenes is constructed, virtually and imaginarily, of the classics and the future. All the sounds appeared on this record, bugs, ducks, pigs, rivers, firewood, people... are all treated in an equal manner, and the singers are all ordinary villagers instead of professional singers.
